The economic development plan of Korea, which started in the early 1960´s, has brought on rapid industrial advancement. But it also has brought on various cause of industrial disasters and many occupational disease such as pneumoconiosis. It is easy to see that side effect industrialization, because there is no adequate and enough industrial safety and healthy activity during the time of industrialization. Pneumoconiosis is a kind of occupational disease, usually it is found such as mine workers or factory workers. It is a kind of lung fibrosis, the cause of disease is that the solid dust was inhaled and it affects the lung. It was first reported in 1954. The seriousness of this disease is appeared in 1966, Saint Mary´s Hospital established an "occupational disease clinic". Saint Mary´s Hospital was the first clinic in Korea, find a disease in the early stage, take a measure and the patients were swiftly cured, return to life and reback to the society. Saint Mary´s Hospital becomes the leading clinic of industrial disaster. Therefore, the department of pharmacy in this hospital, studies the characteristic of pneumoconiosis, of its process, curement and prevention. Now we report the medicine therapy of the respiratory organ´s disease, caused by the pneumoconiosis.
